Blessed are the Peacemakers

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God., Matthew 5: 1-12, the Beatitudes series ct.

I used to think that being a peacemaker was all about resolving peace between parties (as I can't stand conflict) but I also learned that I was not the "way". In fact, That's what began my own journey of CoDependency.
Yes, there is so much strife and conflict and it really does look like little hope for any type of unity and resolution. We as a people, because we are sinners, have little tolerance or the desire to give way.  To have true peace we need to completely change our nature of life - and since we are a self centered people it's not going to happen until Jesus returns.
However, the peace that Jesus refers to here is having a relationship with Him first. And through that relationship, we will enter into a peace in our lives. By having reconciliation in our own lives first, in our own household we shall be doing God's work. By having His peace, we become His child.
Wanting a life with no stresses is what we all want - but because of free will it's not one that is easily achieved. Except by having the peace that comes with a relationship through Christ.
