Where Does My Hope Come From?

Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. 1 Peter 3:15

In today's world filled with violence and ugliness toward other mankind, it would be so easy to give up hope. But as we reflect on the eve of the night that we proclaim the birth of our savior Jesus Christ, we are reminded that Jesus came to save the world for all sinners.

No matter the darkness that shrouds your life and feelings toward the world, there is a light shining - it's the Light of the world. Jesus invites us to leave the darkness and evil behind and put our hope in Him. He invited us to believe in Him and He WILL help us face the world with joy.

During this Advent season, we are reminded that our suffering drives us to the hope we have in Christ - a hope for our future - and I don't mean earthly short temporary life either. Our future with no pain and no suffering is ours because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ - which would not be possible without the amazing virgin birth.

This evening is our service at church and I'm so looking forward to a time of reflection for the amazing gift of Jesus Christ. I pray that you too will use this time to reflect on the birth of Jesus and the ultimate sacrifice for us.
